Personal Statements
Get Unstuck. Get Genuine. And (FINALLY) Hit Submit.
So you’re ready for your next big opportunity . . . but you’re stuck on the application. You can’t figure out what to include, what not to include, how to set yourself apart, and even with all the free advice you’ve looked at on the internet, you’re STILL confused and frustrated.
You know the first step to making it to college or grad school is hitting that submit button on the application. You want to send in a personal statement that sets you apart and showcases your experiences, goals, and potential to give yourself the best chance possible at admission.
Nobody seems to be able to offer you the help you need--you’ve asked your college counselor at school, your English teacher, your mentor, your friends, and read free resources on the internet for hours and hours. You’re not sure how to get past this “stuck” feeling you’ve had since you first attempted to write your personal statement. Every draft you’ve written feels generic and there is SO much pressure to write a unique and genuine essay. You’ve gotten so many different opinions that you’re officially confused and frustrated, and understandably overwhelmed.
Counselors, teachers, and free resources on the internet can offer wonderful tips and tricks for writing a top-notch personal statement for college. This is great if you are already clear on your topic. The problem with this is that you may not know what to write about or how to get started, so the advice you’re getting just isn’t specific enough to your situation.
I have worked with applicants who were applying to all kinds of academic programs, who felt stuck when it came time to write their personal statement. These applicants were putting off their applications because they were confused and frustrated with their personal statement. That’s where I come in: I’m here to help you brainstorm, outline, and edit your personal statement so you can finally hit submit on that application. That’s what Your Life On Paper is all about.
. . .
Hi, I’m Cassity, and I help people that are applying to college and grad school craft quality personal statements so they can finally hit that submit button on their application. When I was applying to undergrad, law school, a masters program, and most recently a PhD program, I wished I had someone there to help me clarify my experiences, goals, and potential so I could submit the best, most accurate representation of myself on paper. Turns out, that someone was me!
Now, sure, I’ve got all the necessary experience and education, but what REALLY matters is I have been where you are now, and I can help you write a genuine personal statement so you can confidently submit your application and make it to your next big opportunity.
“When I was applying for law schools, I was struggling to write my personal statement and really showcase who I was to admissions offices. When I came to Cassity with this problem, she truly went out of her way to help me and provide me with honest and important feedback that would take my statement to the next level.
I highly recommend Cassity for any personal statements and professional resumes, thank you so much again!”
